Deborah K. “Deb” Tay-

lor, 66, rural Minot, died

Tuesday, April 12, 2022,

at home surrounded by

her loving family.

Deborah was born Oc-

tober 30, 1955, in Bot-

tineau, North Dakota, the

daughter of Howard and

Lucille (Zimmerman)

Lentz. She was raised and

educated in Gardena, ND,

prior to graduating from

Bottineau High School in

1973.

Deb attended Lake Re-

gion College in Devils

Lake and received her cer-

tification as an LPN in

1975. She then moved to

Minot, where she began

working at Trinity Hospi-

tal in 1976. She furthered

her education at Minot

State University and re-

ceived a Bachelor of Sci-

ence degree as a Re-

gistered Nurse. She would

continue her 33 year

career with Trinity Hospi-

tal and eventually became

the Nurse manager on the

Fifth Floor.

Deb was united in mar-

riage to Larry Taylor on

June 11, 1983, at Zion

Lutheran Church in

Gardena. They made their

home SE of Minot, where

they raised their two

daughters. They would

enjoy countless hours to-

gether whether it be work-

ing in the yard, hiking at

the Bison Plant, working

out at the YMCA, or going

fishing. Some of Deb and

Larry’s bigger adventures

included biking and rock

climbing in the Black

Hills, canoeing in the

Boundary Waters, back-

packing into the Grand

Canyon and scuba diving

in Mexico.

Deb was a member of

Christ Lutheran Church,

Minot, where she taught

Sunday school and was

active with the Altar

Guild. She enjoyed gar-

dening, tending to her

flowers and vegetables,

and watching the birds or

deer in their yard. She

and Larry loved to dance

and she finished most

days with a bowl of ice

cream. Her genuine spirit

and contagious laugh will

be missed by her friends

and family.

Her loving family in-

cludes: husband of 38

years, Larry; daughters,

Misha (Dan) Himmerick,

Phoenix, AZ, Marissa

(Aaron) Willits, Gales-

burg, Illinois; grandchil-

dren, Cullen and Hattie

Willits; sister, Paulette

(Tim) Bullinger, Bis-

marck; brothers, Virgil

(Mary) Lentz, Minot,

Wayne (Peggy) Lentz,

Minot; several nieces,

nephews and cousins.

Deb was preceded in

death by her parents and

her mother-in-law (Min-

nie Taylor).

Celebration of Life Ser-

vice: Monday, April 18,

2022, at 11:00 a.m. at

Christ Lutheran Church,

Minot. Lunch will be

served at the church.

Visitation & Viewing

will be held one hour pri-

or to the start of the ser-

vice in the church.
