Oct. 30, 1955-April 12, 2022
Deborah K. “Deb” Tay-
lor, 66, rural Minot, died
Tuesday, April 12, 2022,
at home surrounded by
her loving family.
Deborah was born Oc-
tober 30, 1955, in Bot-
tineau, North Dakota, the
daughter of Howard and
Lucille (Zimmerman)
Lentz. She was raised and
educated in Gardena, ND,
prior to graduating from
Bottineau High School in
1973.
Deb attended Lake Re-
gion College in Devils
Lake and received her cer-
tification as an LPN in
1975. She then moved to
Minot, where she began
working at Trinity Hospi-
tal in 1976. She furthered
her education at Minot
State University and re-
ceived a Bachelor of Sci-
ence degree as a Re-
gistered Nurse. She would
continue her 33 year
career with Trinity Hospi-
tal and eventually became
the Nurse manager on the
Fifth Floor.
Deb was united in mar-
riage to Larry Taylor on
June 11, 1983, at Zion
Lutheran Church in
Gardena. They made their
home SE of Minot, where
they raised their two
daughters. They would
enjoy countless hours to-
gether whether it be work-
ing in the yard, hiking at
the Bison Plant, working
out at the YMCA, or going
fishing. Some of Deb and
Larry’s bigger adventures
included biking and rock
climbing in the Black
Hills, canoeing in the
Boundary Waters, back-
packing into the Grand
Canyon and scuba diving
in Mexico.
Deb was a member of
Christ Lutheran Church,
Minot, where she taught
Sunday school and was
active with the Altar
Guild. She enjoyed gar-
dening, tending to her
flowers and vegetables,
and watching the birds or
deer in their yard. She
and Larry loved to dance
and she finished most
days with a bowl of ice
cream. Her genuine spirit
and contagious laugh will
be missed by her friends
and family.
