William “Bill” Schollmeyer

William “Bill”

Schollmeyer, 80,

Chandler, AZ passed

away on February 3, 2022

in a Chandler hospital.

Bill was born on May

29, 1941 in Minot, ND the

second of nine children

born to Albert and Francis

(Fischer) Schollmeyer. He

attended St Leo’s Catholic

school and was a member

of the first graduating

class of Bishop Ryan High

School.

In November of 1963 he

married Virginia Irmen in

New Rockford, ND. They

raised a family of one

daughter and three sons

primarily in North Dakota

before moving to Arizona

in 1983.

Bill enjoyed making

beef stroganoff for his

family and was an avid

bridge player up until his

passing.

His loving family in-

cludes:

Koponen, Mike (Sharon)

Schollmeyer, Jim (Barb)

Schollmeyer and John

Schollmeyer all of Arizo-

na. As well as 11

grandchildren and 7

great-grandchildren.

Brothers: Dick, Mike,

Jim, John and sisters Mary

Olympia, Marjorie Te-

manson and Jeanne

Schollmeyer.

He was preceded in

death by his wife Vir-

ginia, parents Albert and

Francis and brother Tom.

Services have been held

in Arizona.
