Velinda Scott, 70,

Minot, ND, passed away

on Saturday, January 15,

2022, at Trinity Hospital

in Minot, after many years

of battling various ail-

ments.

Velinda M. Scott was

born August 20, 1951, in

Washington State. Every-

one that knew her will

miss her beautiful smile

and her outgoing per-

sonality. She loved her

two nephews, her many

friends and, after many

years of being a cook in

various jobs, she still

loved cooking for others.

Velinda is survived by

her sisters, Teresa Haapa-

la Bievenour and Stacy

Haapala Wiggins; brother,

David William Haapala;

and her nephews who

were her world, Jacob

Wiggins and Joshua Wig-

gins.

She was preceded in

death by her mother, Pa-

tricia May Haapala; father,

James H. Haapala; and a

sister, Catherine Joyce

Haapala.
