Lois Brevig, 76, Minot
died on Sunday, January
23, 2022, in a Minot hos-
pital following a lengthy
illness.
Lois Elaine Krueger was
born on November 9,
1945, in Minot, ND to
Edwin and Helen (Filler)
Krueger. Lois lived on the
family farm near Sawyer
when she was young, and
then moved into Sawyer
where she attended
school and graduated
from high school in 1963.
Lois married Gary Bre-
vig, her high school
sweetheart, on July 17,
1964 at St. Peter’s Luth-
eran Church in Sawyer.
They made their home in
Minot where she began
her career at Trinity Hos-
pital as a Ward Clerk.
They continued to make
their home in Minot and
Lois held a variety of posi-
tions at Trinity prior to re-
tiring from the Communi-
ty Relations Department
in 1995. Since 2000, she
and Gary had especially
enjoyed time spent at
Mouse River Park.
Lois especially enjoyed
cooking and entertaining,
gardening and flowers,
shopping and lunches
with Tracy, and hugging
up all her friends and
family.
Lois’ loving family in-
cludes her husband of 57
years Gary; daughter: Tra-
cy; siblings: Doris Smes-
tad, Lloyd Krueger, Mary
Smestad, Kenny (La-
Voughn) Krueger, Lyle
Krueger, Norman Krueger
(Bill Hudson), Sandy (Jim)
Murphy and Candis (Gor-
don) Zietz; in-law: Brice
Watson and several
nieces, nephews and
cousins.
Lois was preceded in
death by her parents, sis-
ter: Jean Watson, and
in-laws: Nanette Krueger,
Lyle Smestad, Dale Smes-
tad and Roy Davis.
Funeral Service: Mon-
day, January 31, 2022, at
11:00 a.m. in St. Mark’s
Lutheran Church –
Minot.
Interment will be in
Rosehill Memorial Park –
Minot in the Spring of
2022.
Visitation: Sunday
from noon to 2:00 p.m. in
the Thomas Family Fun-
eral Home – Minot.
In lieu of plants and
flowers, memorials are
preferred to a local animal
rescue.
