Joseph was born on

Feb. 27, 2018, in Minot, to

Brian and Kristie (Clark)

Michels. The youngest of

five boys, Joseph brought

so much joy to everyone

he encountered in his

short time here on earth.

He adored “the brothers”

and loved to play army,

knights, and being read to.

He also had a special love

of music, singing songs,

and playing air guitar.

Joseph enjoyed playing

at his tool bench in the

shop, riding in tractors,

his dad’s 1968 Chevy

pickup, and the family

motorhome and usually

had an eye out for a play-

ground. Joseph’s favorite

food was pie, which he

often got to eat for break-

fast. He was always excit-

ed to pray with the family

and had several prayers

memorized.

On Jan. 1, 2022, the

Solemnity of Mary, the

Holy Mother of God,

Joseph received the Sacra-

ment of Confirmation,

was invested in the

Brown Scapular of Our
