Louise F. Anderson, 92,

Bismarck, formerly of

Minot and Kenmare, died

Wednesday, December 22,

2021, at an assisted living

home in Bismarck, ND.

Louise F. Ethen was

born on February 6, 1929,

a daughter of Joseph and

Mary (Fuchs) Ethen in

Tolley, ND. She was

raised and educated in

Tolley, ND, where she

graduated as the president

of her class from Tolley

High School in 1947. Fol-

lowing her graduation,

she worked as a waitress

at the Tolley Cafe and as a

Bookkeeper for Midwest

Lumber in Mohall, ND.

On November 10, 1949,

Louise was united in mar-

riage to Harold A. Ander-

son. They made their

home in Tolley, ND, until

1959 when the family

moved to Granville, ND.

In 1968, they moved to

Kenmare, ND, where

Louise managed Lou’s

Cafe. In 1980, they relo-

cated to New Underwood,

SD, where they owned

and operated Melmar Ser-

vice Station, Cafe and

Motel. In 1986, she re-

turned to Kenmare, where

she worked at the Ken-

mare Baptist Home until

1997, when she retired

and moved to Minot. In

2016, she moved to Edge-

wood Healthcare in

Bismarck.

Louise was a member of

Our Lady of Grace Cathol-

ic Church, Minot.

She enjoyed putting to-

gether jigsaw puzzles, do-

ing crossword puzzles,

playing pinochle and

bingo. She loved visiting

and receiving cards from

family, friends and

healthcare workers.

Louise was very good at

painting and drawing,

especially birds, and she

loved to write poetry. She

was well known for her

baking talents.

Louise is survived by:

Three sons, Floyd (Grace)

Anderson, Wayne (Geor-

gia) Anderson, Cory (Ter-

ri) Anderson; two

daughters, Cheryl (Dick)

Wilhelmi and Doretta

Meske; sixteen grandchil-

dren; eleven great-grand-

children and three on the

way; one great-great-

grandchild; sister, Deloris

Gilroy; and several nieces,

nephews and cousins also

survive.

Louise was preceded in

death by her parents;

grandson, Michael Ander-

son; two granddaughters,

Mary and Melissa Ander-

son; brothers, Lawrence,

Ed, and Ben Ethen; sis-

ters, Marie Gore, Ileen

Everhart, Bena Kee, Verna

Moore, Ellie Ethen, and

Mathilda Knutson.

Mass of Christian Buri-

al: Wednesday, December

29, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at

Our Lady of Grace Cathol-

ic Church, Minot, ND.

Burial: A private family

committal service will

take place at a later date

in the summer of 2022 at

St. Agnes Catholic Ceme-

tery, Kenmare, ND.
