Center, Minot, ND.

Wallis Eugene Jensen

was born May 4, 1940 at

Maxbass, ND to Lyle and

Katheryne (Leding) Jen-

sen. His father passed

away before his 2nd birth-

day. His mother married

Fritz Weber and they

made their home in Max-

bass, ND with his sister

Marlene, and brothers

Myron and Jerry. Wally

grew up in Maxbass and

attended school there. He

married Phyllis Becker on

September 27, 1959 in

Mohall. To this union

three children were born,

Kenneth Todd, Wendy

Sue and Jody Lynn. They

lived in Maxbass, Mohall

and then Sherwood where

the kids were raised and

graduated from high

school. They later di-

vorced. He was married to

Karen Paetz. They later

divorced.

Wally’s pride and joy,

besides his kids, was

working in the oilfield

where he made many life-

time friends. He was a

hard working man and

worked diligently all his

life to support his family.

Over his 50 year span he

worked for various com-

panies including Matador,

Cardinal Drilling, Earl

Schwartz Company, BO-

MAC Drilling, Powers Fu-

els, Getter Trucking, Black

Hills Trucking, Harris

Construction and Eagle

Operating.

Wally enjoyed watching

TV, reading, visiting and

shooting the breeze. Man

could he tell stories! He

enjoyed spending time

with his family and

friends and his many

faithful dogs over the

years.

Wally was preceded in

death by his father, Lyle;

his mother and step-father

Katheryne and Fritz

Weber; his daughter,

Wendy Koons; his sister

and husband, Marlene

and Dennis Newgard; his

brother Myron (Jigger)

and his wife Soon Jensen;

and his brother Jerry Jen-

sen; his nephews – Dean

Jensen, Scott Jensen,

Steve Jensen, Tim New-

gard, David Newgard and

Bruce Newgard. One great

granddaughter – Kenzi.
