Paul was born Sep-

tember 18, 1957 in Garris-

on, ND to John and Adele

(Nodland) Sayler. He was

raised on the family farm

near Underwood, ND and

graduated from the

Underwood school in

1975. He worked at Coal

Creek Station from 1979

until 2010.

Paul married Luann

Berg July, 20 1979 and

they were blessed with

two daughters from this

union, Tracy and Lisa.

On May 30, 2003 he

married Dawn Palmer.

From this marriage he

gained three stepchildren,

Amanda, Chris and Katie.

He took this on whole-

heartedly and raised and

loved them as his own.

He was an avid out-

doorsman. There was

nothing he looked for-

ward to more than deer

season. All who hunted

with him knew he was a

firm believer that Neil Di-

amond started every hunt.

Paul spent all seasons out

fishing with his family.

His love for the outdoors

was shared with all of his

kids through hunting,

fishing and camping. He

and his stepson were just

recently able to fulfill his

once in a lifetime moose

tag.

His pride and joy in his

life was his kids and his

grandkids. Paul would tell

anyone who would listen

about each one of them,

including pictures. Nurses

and Doctors across the

state knew them all!

Everyone who has ever

met Paul knows he loved

to visit. He seemed to

make a friend wherever

he went. Paul was a gen-

tle, loving soul that

touched so many lives

through laughter and a

tender heart.
