Sharon Ann Marsden

Sharon Ann Marsden,

74, Minot, died Saturday,

October 16, 2021, in a

Minot hospital.

Sharon was born Au-

gust 20, 1947, in Dickin-

son, ND to Mike and

Marianna (Klein) Berger.

She attended St. Joseph’s

Catholic Elementary

School and was the first

class to graduate from

Trinity High School in

1965. She later continued

her education at both

Dickson State University

and Minot State Universi-

ty.

Sharon married Allan

Marsden on October 31,

1970, in Dickinson, ND at

St. Joseph’s Catholic

Church. They followed

Allan’s military career

from Germany to Wash-

ington, DC before finally

returning to settle in

Minot in 1980. They wel-

comed their son Scott into

their lives in 1984. She

was a dedicated civil ser-

vice employee for 37

years before retiring in

January 2011. Her dear

husband, Allan, recently

passed away September

30, 2021.

Sharon was an active

member of St. John’s

Catholic Church in Minot.

She loved crafts, espe-

cially cross stitch, quilt-

ing, and crochet. Every

summer she could be

found fishing for walleye

on Lake Sakakawea or on

Canadian fishing adven-

tures with her family. She

loved to travel with her

husband, often driving for

weeks to visit friends and

family all across the Unit-

ed States. She had a real

talent for baking – every-

thing from apple butter to

apple and chocolate pies.

She loved putting together

jigsaw puzzles, was a

master at Sudoku, and an

excellent pinochle player.

She will be remembered

for her loving nature and

sense of humor.

Sharon is survived by:

son Scott of Cincinnati,

OH; siblings including

Sister Mary Jane Berger

O.S.B., Allen (Jeannette)

Berger, Robert (Gloria)

Berger and Richard (Julie)

Berger; brother-in-law

Paul (Jill) Marsden and

many nieces, nephews,

and cousins.

Sharon was preceded

in death by: her father,

mother, and husband, Al-

lan.

Mass of Christian Buri-

al: 11:00 a.m. Friday, Oc-

tober 22, 2021 at St. John

The Apostle Catholic

from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00

p.m. in the church.

Memorials are preferred

to the Wounded Warrior

Project.
