James Jay Jacobson

James Jay Jacobson of

Great Falls, MT passed

away on October 15, 2021.

He was 75 years old.

James was born on

March 29, 1946, to Alice

and Galen Jacobson. He

graduated from Drake

High School in 1964. He

later graduated from

Minot State University

and was a U.S. Army Viet-

nam Veteran. James was a

50-year member of the

American Legion.

An avid outdoorsman,

he lived for elk hunting,

fishing and spending time

in “The Last Best Place,”

Montana, with his friends,

children and grandchil-

dren.

He is survived by: his

wife, Terri (Shaffer) Jacob-

son; daughters, Shannon

(Jim) Nelson of Great

Falls, Jessica Jacobson of

Bronx, NY, Josie (Dennis)

Westbrooks of Willi-

amsburg, VA, Jenessa (Pa-

trick) Jacobson of Port-

land, OR; sisters, Judith

Isaak of Drake, ND, Mick-

ey (Drew) Fonder of Rey-

nolds, ND; brothers,

Duane (Lucia) Jacobson of

Leeds, ND, and Keith

Jacobson of West Fargo,

ND; grandchildren,

Seamus Nelson, Maisie

Westbrooks, Effie West-

brooks, Dennis West-

brooks IV, Mickey Lewis,

and June Westbrooks. He

was preceded in death by

his parents. A memori-

al service is scheduled for

Monday, October 25,

2021, at 2:00 p.m. at

Hillcrest Lawn Memorial

Chapel.
