Christine B. Sigloh, 84,
Kenmare, ND, passed
away on Monday, October
18, 2021 in a Minot hospi-
tal, with her children by
her side.
Christine Bertha
Bjorngaard was born on
July 12, 1937, a daughter
of Chester and Bertha
(Johnson) Bjorngaard in
Eckman, ND. She was
raised in the rural Max-
bass, ND area where she
attended rural schools
there, and graduated from
Maxbass High School.
Christine furthered her
education by attending
Minot Teachers College,
where she earned her
Standard Teaching certifi-
cate. She started teaching
in country schools, and
eventually ended up at
Spencer Township School
#46. It was here she met a
handsome farmer named
Tony.
On May 29, 1959,
Christine was united in
marriage to Ellis “Tony”
Sigloh. They made their
home on the Sigloh home-
stead, where they raised
their family. Together the
couple had four children,
three sons and a daughter.
Tony died April 9, 1980.
Christine continued to
live in the Kenmare area.
Christine enjoyed
spending time with her
family and friends. She
enjoyed playing cards,
and was always ready for
a game of pinochle or
cribbage. Gardening and
canning were a passion of
hers, and she was proud
to be a farmer’s wife who
was able to drive a com-
bine.
She was a member of
Western Lanes Bowling
League, was very involved
as a member of Farmers
Union, and a member of
Nazareth Lutheran
Church. She was em-
ployed in different capaci-
ties in different establish-
ments throughout the
Kenmare area.
Christine is survived
by: Sons, Tim
(Dianne), Dave (Penny),
and Layne (Susie);
daughter, Beth Ann
(Dave) Delmar, 13
grandchildren, 27
great-grandchildren, 5
great-great-grandchildren,
as well as several nieces,
nephews and cousins who
also survive.
Christine was preceded
in death by: her parents,
husband, Ellis “Tony”
Sigloh, brother, Otto
Bjorngaard, grandson,
Dale Sigloh.
Visitation: Saturday
from 1 p.m. until service
time at the church.
Funeral Service: Satur-
day, October 23, 2021 at
2:00 pm at Hartland Luth-
eran Church, located at
the Pioneer Village, Ken-
mare, ND.
Burial: Lakeview
Cemetery, Kenmare, ND.
