Wesley Brandt

Wesley Brandt, 81,

Minot, ND, formerly of

Mesa, AZ and Glenburn,

ND, passed away Friday,

September 10, 2021, at his

home.

Wesley Brandt was

born November 15, 1939,

the son of Henry and Cora

(Grondahl) Brandt, in

Rugby, ND. He was raised

and educated in Upham,

graduating from Upham

High School in 1957.

After graduation, Wesley

attended the North Dakota

State College of Science in

Wahpeton, where he re-

ceived a degree in plumb-

ing. He worked for many

years for ASU.

Wes enlisted in the Un-

ited States Army and

proudly served his coun-

try in Korea before being

was honorably discharged

in 1969.

He married Janis Chris-

tianson in 1961 at the

Glenburn Lutheran

Church. They made their

home in the Glenburn

area. This union was

blessed with the birth of

their daughter, Cyndi, in

1966. The couple later di-

vorced.

Wes remarried in 1978

to Delores Mock. They

made their home in the

Glenburn area until 1982

when they moved to

Mesa. After retirement

they maintained a winter

residence in Mesa and a

summer residence in

Granville, ND.

He was a member of the

VFW.

Wes enjoyed riding

horses and motorcycles.

He also raced stock cars in

Minot and Upham and

chariots in Towner. Wes

enjoyed dancing at the

VFW in Mesa on Thurs-

days.

His loving family in-

cludes:

children, Cyndi (Larry)

Fredrickson, Upham;

grandchildren, Mandie

(Tanner) Suchor, Jesse

(Katelyn) Fredrickson,

and Jamie (Hannah)

Frederickson;

great-grandchildren,

Rylie Suchor, Walker

Suchor, Kallie Fredrick-

son, and Lane Fredrick-

son;

brother, Ronald (Diane)

Brandt, Upham;

sister, Lana (Galen)

Best, Denbigh, ND; and

numerous nieces,

nephews and cousins. He

was preceded in death by

his parents; wives Janis

and Delores Brandt;

brothers, Dale, Sherman,

and Jerry Brandt; and sis-

ter, Lois Dagner.

Funeral: Wednesday,

September 15, 2021, at 4

p.m. at the American Le-

gion in Upham.

Interment: Bloomfield

Cemetery, Upham, ND.

Visitation: Wednesday,

September 15, 2021 from

2 to 4 p.m. at the Ameri-

can Legion in Upham.

Memorials: are pre-

ferred to any Alzheimer or

dementia organization.
