Paige Holmes
March 2, 1996-Sept. 9, 2021
Paige Holmes, 25,
Minot, ND, passed away
Thursday, September 9,
2021, in her home.
Paige Rebekah Holmes
was born March 2, 1996,
in Minot, North Dakota.
Raised in Minot by her
parents, Leslie and Shane
Hillman, Paige went to
Sunnyside Elementary
School before attending
Nedrose School through
the eighth grade. During
her attendance at Nedrose
School, she played basket-
ball. She graduated from
Minot High School in
2014 and attended Minot
State University for a
year.
Kindness was one of
Paige’s great qualities and
something for which she
will always be known.
She had a great sense of
humor, and an extraordi-
nary love for her younger
brother Ashton. She was a
great big sister. Paige
loved all the little kids in
her life, going on walks
with her mom, reading,
and watching movies. All
who knew her will miss
her.
Paige took pride and
care in whatever job she
held. She was a hard
worker and looked for-
ward to going to work.
She held several jobs, in-
cluding Applebee’s, where
she made many great
friendships. She was
currently employed at the
Columbian Club.
Despite the love and
support from her family,
and every opportunity
given to Paige to help her
recover from her struggles
with addiction, she ulti-
mately passed away from
an accidental drug over-
dose. Paige fought hard,
most recently she cele-
brated one year of
sobriety with many ac-
complishments in that
year. It had been a long
road to recovery, with
many successes and set-
backs.
The family is not
shocked, but shattered by
her untimely passing, and
encourages everyone to
educate themselves and
their children on the peri-
lous depths and tragedies
of drug addiction.
Her loving family in-
cludes: parents, Leslie
Holmes and Shane Hill-
man, Minot; brother, Ash-
ton Hillman, Minot;
