Larry Raymond Zim-
merman, 82, formally of
Noonan, Berthold, and
Minot died on Tuesday,
September 7, 2021 at the
Benedictine Living Center
in Garrison, ND.
Larry was born October
1, 1938 to Rueben and
Harriet (Trulin) Zimmer-
man in Noonan, ND. He
married Betty Ann Mel-
land in Minot, ND on July
25, 1975.
Larry worked for the
United States Postal Ser-
vice for 44 years. He be-
gan his rural mail carrier
career in Noonan, ND and
ended his long career re-
ceiving the Million Mile
certificate while deliver-
ing mail to the communi-
ties of Berthold, Carpio,
and Foxholm, ND. He re-
tired January 1, 2010.
Larry was an avid out-
doorsman including hunt-
ing, fishing, camping and
golfing. Experiencing all
of these hobbies with his
beloved wife, family and
friends gave them all
many laughs to share and
memories to cherish. He
frequently attended and
was a supporter of
Pheasants for the Future
Banquets. Larry enjoyed
the competition of
numerous fishing tourna-
ments including the ND
Governors Cup. Larry was
a long-time member of the
Minot Eagles Club and the
Minot Moose Lodge. Larry
was a “gentle giant” loved
by all.

vice will be held at St. Ni-
cholas cemetery in Garris-
on, ND at 3:00 PM, Fri-
day, September 10. Fel-
lowship will follow on the
garden patio at the
Meadows Assisted Living
facility, 719 4th Ave NE,
Garrison, ND.
