Lana Danelson, 70,
Minot, ND, passed away
Tuesday, September 14,
2021, at Trinity Hospital
in Minot.
Lana Kay Roos was
born August 13, 1951, the
daughter of Fritz W. and
Betty D. (Fisher) Roos, in
Scobey, Montana. She
was raised and educated
in Flaxville, Montana.
Lana married Ray E.
Danelson on July 13th,
1968, in Flaxville, MT.
From this union, two
sons, Gary and Jerry, were
born. They made their
home in Havre, MT, until
1970, when they moved to
a farm in Scobey, MT.
During this time, she
worked for the Daniels
County Hospital, then for
a tax office, and finally at
the Daniels County Clerk
and Recorder Office. In
2000, Ray and Lana
moved to Minot, ND,
where she worked for
Choice Hotels until 2010,
when she began her em-
ployment at First Western
Bank. She continued
working there until Au-
gust 8 of this year.
Lana enjoyed building
doll houses, crocheting,
sewing, decorating cakes
and loved her dogs, espe-
cially poodles. She had a
good sense of humor and
could be spunky.
She was the best wife,
mother (she was definite-
ly a boy mom) and sister.
She was the best grandma
and enjoyed watching
their sporting events.
Lana’s loving family in-
cludes: her husband of 53
years, Ray; two sons, Gary
Ray Danelson of Minot,
and Jerry Lee Danelson of
Minot; grandchildren,
Megan and Brandon Joos;
Damien and Cassie Danel-
son, and Zach and Hunter
Danelson; great-grandson,
Nathan Joos; sister, Terri
Hellickson; aunt, Mary
McKinney; and a nephew
and two nieces.
Lana was preceded in
death by: her parents,
Fritz and Betty; a brother,
Fritz G. Roos; and a niece
Shelaine Hellickson.
At Lana’s request, there
will be no formal services.
