Judy Emma Andersen,

age 78 of Perham, MN

died Tuesday, September

14, 2021 in her home

under the care of Hospice

of the Red River Valley

and her family.

Judy was born October

26, 1942 in Bottineau, ND

the daughter of Arthur

and Clara (Kaeding)

Kiesow. She was united in

marriage to William “Bill”

Andersen for 48 wonder-

ful years. Judy worked in

her early years at Red Owl

stores in St. Paul, MN.

Bill and Judy moved to

Fargo, ND in 1982 as Bill

continued his food career

with Red Owl. In 1984,

they purchased an apart-

ment building in Moor-

head, MN which Judy

successfully managed un-

til 2011. In 2003, they

sold their Fargo home and

Aitkin, MN lake cabin and

moved to their Little Pine

Lake home near Perham.

Judy thoroughly enjoyed

the lake and her real love

of beautiful flower gar-

dens. Bill’s brother Mike

visited often and enjoyed

the gardening and fishing

fun. Judy and Bill were

blessed with their son

Steven who has two

wonderful children, Zech

(Nicole) and Melissa (Dus-

tin) Johnson. Melissa and

Dustin have two wonder-

ful children, Kynslee and

Kade. Judy and Bill trav-

eled to 20 different coun-

tries over the years on va-

cations and cruises. She

also really enjoyed their

frequent visits to Las Ve-

gas and Laughlin, NV. Lo-

cally, their favorite casino

was Shooting Star in Mah-

nomen, MN. They en-

joyed the food, gambling,

and concerts monthly for

years. They met many

wonderful friends and

employees and appreciat-

ed their friendships.

Judy’s other enjoyment

was wearing her sparkling

high heels and fashion-

able clothing.

Judy’s family sincerely

thanks the wonderful doc-

tors, nurses, and staff at

the Roger Maris Cancer

Center for three years of

service and compassion

and Hospice of the Red

River Valley for providing

comfort to both she and

her family in Judy’s final

days.

Preceding Judy in death

were: her parents; her sis-

ter Norma Brenden; her

brother Gary Kiesow; and

great-grandson Garrett.

Surviving Judy are: her

husband Bill; her son

Steven (fiance Kathy); two

grandchildren; two

great-grandchildren; her

sister Dorothy Brandt;

brother-in-law Owen

Brenden; brother-in-law

Mike Andersen; along

with numerous nieces,

nephews, cousins, and

friends.

Visitation will be from

11:00-1:00 followed by the

funeral service at 1:00

p.m. on Saturday, Sep-

tember 25 at Schoene-

berger Funeral & Crema-

tion Service in Perham.

Burial will be in the Per-

ham City Cemetery.
