John Berry

John Berry, 78, Minot,

formerly of Atlanta, GA,

passed away on Friday,

September 10, 2021, at his

home.

John was born August

3, 1943, in Atlanta, GA, to

Raymond and Eulalia

(Reynolds) Berry. He was

raised and educated in the

Atlanta area, graduating

from Marietta High

School

After graduation, John

enlisted in the U.S. Air

Force, where he was

honorably discharged in

1965. When his service to

our country was com-

plete, John moved to Seat-

tle, WA, where he began a

30 year career with Boe-

ing.

In 1968 he was united

in marriage to Linda

Bishop. This union was

blessed with a daughter,

Laura. The couple later

divorced in 1975. On May

15, 1976, John married

Sally Davis in Kirkland,

WA. After his retirement

from Boeing, John ful-

filled a promise he made

to Sally and agreed to

move back to her home

area of Minot. The couple

have resided here ever

since. Sally passed away

on May 17, 2021.

John loved golfing and

never missed an oppor-

tunity to hit the links for a

few holes. He was a foot-

ball fanatic and loved

watching and rooting for

his favorite teams. John

was a natural musician

who loved playing the pi-

ano.

John is survived by his

daughter, Laura (Loren)

Colello, Edgewood, WA;

grandson, Brandon Les-

sard; sisters, Shirley

(John) Olmstead and Mar-

tha (David) Cummins;

brothers-in-law, Robert

McDaniel and Mike Davis;

sister-in-law, Cindy (Pete)

Garrett; and numerous

nieces, nephews, and

cousins.

He was preceded in

death by his parents;

wife, Sally; and sisters,

Helen McDaniel and Nan-

cy (Jerry) Poore.

A private family grave-

side service was held at

Rosehill Memorial Park in

Minot. Memorials are pre-

ferred to the American

Heart Association. Those
