Geraldine Meyer

Geraldine “Geri” Meyer,

74, Minot, ND, passed

away Monday, September

20, 2021, at a Bismarck,

ND hospital.

Geraldine was born

February 25, 1947, the

daughter of Mike and

Stella (Ehli) Volk, in Rug-

by, ND. She was raised

and educated in Towner,

graduating from Towner

High School.

Geri married George

Meyer on May 29, 1965 at

St. Anselm’s Catholic

Church in Fulda, ND.

They started their family

in 1966 when they started

their journey with their 3

children. Geri worked at

Miller’s Drug in Rugby for

a time. After the family

moved to Minot she

opened a daycare and ran

it for 33 years, while also

running the Western Vil-

lage Trailer Court for 33

years. Geri also cleaned

for SRT for 10 plus years

and worked for Superior

Cleaning for several years.

Geri was a member of

Our Lady of Grace Cathol-

ic Church.

Geri enjoyed spending

her time with her

grandchildren and

great-grandchildren. Some

of her favorite times were

going to the casino with

her husband and her

brother. She was a

wonderful cook and bak-

er.

Her loving family in-

cludes: husband of 56

years, George; children,

Carla Bruns, Minot, Jeff

(Monica) Meyer, Parshall,

ND, and Terry (Andrea)

Meyer, Minot; grandchil-

dren, Kyra Hansen, Matt

(Beth) Meyer, Maci Sever-

son, Zach Meyer, Lucas

(Tiana) Bruns, Kaylee

Bruns and Reegan Meyer;

great-grandchildren,

Raiden, Brinley, Riot,

Aiden, Lincoln, Nolan,

Evelyn and Emerson:

brothers, Harlen (Sandy)

Volk, Danny (Elaine) Volk

and Terry (Betty Hubrig)

Volk: sister, Marylou

(Donny) Ronglien and

numerous nieces,

nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in

death by: her parents; sis-

ter Della May (Kenny)

Peterson along with

several aunts and uncles.

Mass of Christian Buri-

al: Saturday, September

25, 2021, at 9 a.m. at Our

Lady of Grace Catholic

Church, Minot.

Interment: Rosehill

Memorial Park, Minot.

Visitation: Friday from

4 to 7 p.m. at

Thompson-Larson Fun-

eral Home, Minot.
