Edward B. Mosser
April 24, 1951-Sept. 5, 2021
Edward Mosser, 70,
Minot, ND, passed away
Sunday, September 5,
2021, in a Minot Hospital.
Edward’s parents,
Wendelin and Margaret
(Elm) Mosser, welcomed a
new life on April 24, 1951
and so his earthly journey
began. The family lived
on a farm near Sawyer,
ND, where he would at-
tend school until Junior
High when the family
moved to Minot. He gra-
duated from Minot High
in 1970. He worked
throughout his high
school years whether it
was being a fry cook,
packing for a moving
company, or construction,
he took great pride in
each and every job he did.
Edward met and mar-
ried Brenda (Keller) in
1973. For the first year
they lived in Towner, ND,
where Ed was employed
by Winger Cheese as a
truck driver. In 1974, Ed
and Brenda moved to
Minot where he was em-
ployed by Feist Const.
When the time came to
start a family, they were
blessed with two children,
Nichole and Chad. Short-
ly after, Ed went to work
at Craft Bldrs. and in
1979, the family moved to
Surrey, ND where they
would live for the next 39
years. In 1987, Ed landed
a position at Milton
Young Towers and
worked there for 30 years
until he retired. He en-
joyed the last job place-
ment tremendously as the
staff, and especially the
tenants, were like a close
knit family. He would
often go there on his days
off just to “hangout.”
We frequently remin-
isced about jobs in con-
struction where, in the
winter, he would come
home with icicles still
hanging on his beard from
working out in the bitter
cold. How times have
changed! This was just
one example of how Ed-
ward cared, loved, and
provided for his family,
no matter what.
His son, Chad, intro-
duced him to the game of
golf and he would spend
any free time he had on
the golf course. Ed would
pass the love of the sport
on to his grandson, Jace,
and it was some of the
best times of their lives,
playing golf, bonding and
hanging out on the
course.
Unfortunately, Ed was
diagnosed with MS in
2014 and his golf time on
the course would be shor-
tened. Even though he
could no longer golf, he
would enjoy riding along
in the golf cart. Edward
also enjoyed times with
friends playing pinochle
on weekends into the wee
hours of the morning.
He so loved his family
and when he became a
grandpa, that was a mile-
stone in his life. His
granddaughters, Brooklyn
& Brenley, would enjoy
watching his facial ex-
pressions and his shifty
eyebrows and just giggle
and say “do that again.”
When Nichole married
she brought into our fami-
ly 2 stepgrandsons, Jordan
& Cameron, and so this
completed his/our legacy.
Ed was a member of St.
Leo the Great Catholic
Church, Minot and the
4th Degree of the Knights
of Columbus.
