Shelly Caroline, 61,
Minot, ND, died Monday,

in Minot.
Shelly Marie Caroline
was born July 2, 1960, the
daughter of LuVerne and
Darlene (Zeltinger) Caro-
line, in Kenmare, ND. She
was raised in the Kenmare
area until age six, when
she moved to Grafton to
attend the Grafton State
School.
Shelly entered into the
Kalix, formerly Minot Vo-
cational Adjustment
Workshop family on Oc-
tober 19, 1987, where she
enjoyed many years in the
day service program.
Some of the activities she
favored were trips to the
zoo and Jam Nights at
Rockin’ Horse. She en-
joyed helping around the
house, nature, bird watch-
ing, people watching,
dressing up for Hal-
loween, foot rubs and the
Golden Girls. Her favorite
color was pink and she
loved all things blingy.
In her younger years,
she was often seen with
the Connect Four game at
home, challenging staff
and housemates to battles.
Shelly had the most beau-
tiful strawberry blonde
hair that staff loved help-
ing her style. She also en-
joyed having her nails
painted. Her smile lit up a
room along with her
sassy, spunky personality
that carried on through
her final days. Shelly will
be missed dearly by her
family at Kalix and they
would like to tell their
favorite Golden Girl,
“Thank you for being a
friend.”
