Dale Sandberg

Dale Harley Sandberg,
78, of Goodyear, AZ,
passed away peacefully at
his home on July 9, 2021.
Dale was born De-
cember 30, 1942, the son
of Einar and Rachel (Haa-
land) Sandberg in Minot,
North Dakota. He was
reared and educated in
Carpio, ND and graduated
from Carpio High School
in 1960. He enlisted in
the United States National
Guard and spent 6
months of boot camp and
medical training and 1
year of active duty. Dale
went on to college at
Minot State College and
earned his degree from
the University of North
Dakota at Grand Forks.
Dale was united in mar-
riage to Judith Ann Cush-
ing September 2, 1967, at
St. Leo’s Catholic church
in Minot, ND. They were
blessed with one son,
Robb, who resides in Min-
neapolis. Dale and Judy
made their home and
worked in the Minneapo-
lis, MN area for many
years until moving full
time to Mesa, Arizona.
He owned and led the
operations of CMG, Inc., a
plastics company with
branches in Iowa and the
Carolinas.
Dale spent 54 years en-
joying his life journey
with the love of his life
and best friend by his
side. His smile, kind soul,
and sense of humor were
infectious to anyone who
met and knew him. This
man never met a stranger.
He loved golf, traveling, a
fun game of cards and a
good glass of wine just as
long as it meant spending
time with his wife, his
son and the family and
friends he loved so much.
Dale’s loving family in-
cludes: his wife of 54
years, Judy; son Robb
(Mary Schlangen), Min-
neapolis; brother Earl
(Louise) Sandberg, Allen,
TX; sisters Elaine Dahle,
Minot, ND and Renee
(Rodney) Lemke, Scotts-
dale, AZ; sister-in-law
Jeanette Wold, Minneapo-lis; along with numerous
nieces and nephews.
Dale was preceded in
death by: his parents,
Einar and Rachel Sand-
berg, his parents-in-law,
Odell and Madeline Cush-
ing, and his brothers-in
law, Gale Dahle and Tom
Wold.
