Betty Walker, 55,
Minot, died Thursday,
July 22, 2021, in the lov-
ing company of her family
at a Minot assisted living
facility.
Betty Ann Walker was
born on May 4th, 1966, in
Minot, ND, to Richard and
Donna (Milkey) Walker,
and was raised on her
family’s farm Northeast of
Minot. She attended
Minot Public Schools, gra-
duating from Minot High
in 1984.
In June of 1985, Betty
married Bruce Du-
tenhafer; their union was
blessed with two children:
Stephanie Dutenhafer and
Sadie (Dutenhafer) Lar-
son, the mother of Betty’s
grandsons. Betty and
Bruce divorced in 1994.
In 2018, Betty met Troy
Hauf, who would become
her best friend, partner,
and fiance. A relationship
that remained strong until
the end of her life. Betty
enjoyed their time going
to the mountains, garden-ing, camping, and fishing;
overall just being together.
Her daughters and
grandsons were the light
and joy of her life.
Betty is survived by her
father, Richard Walker; fi-
ance, Troy Hauf;
daughters, Stephanie Du-
tenhafer (Tommy Ellis)
and Sadie (Shawn) Lar-
son; grandsons Ayden
Larson and Tucker Lar-
son; brothers Rod Walker
and Richard (Helen)
Walker; sister, Wendy
Walker; and many aunts,
uncles, cousins, and
friends.
Betty is preceded in
death by her mother,
Donna Walker.
Family and friends are
invited to sign a memori-
al register book on Mon-
day, July 26, 2021, from
4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
at the Thomas Family
Funeral Home, Minot.
