Nevada, who passed away

April 25, 2021.

Roger was born March

21, 1931, in Minot, ND,

the son of Nick and Esther

Huizenga. While attend-

ing Minot High School he

participated in various

sports and was the start-

ing center on the 1949

State Basketball Cham-

pionship Team. Roger gra-

duated in 1949 and at-

tended NDSU formerly

known as the North Dako-

ta School of Agriculture

College and graduated

with a degree in Business

Administration in 1953.

Roger entered the Air

Force Dec. 16, 1953 and

served for 3 years. He

eventually purchased

Gourmet Liquors in San

Marcos, California. Roger

married Floy Strain Lang-

seth, Oct. 26, 1980. After

Roger retired in 1995, he

and Floy moved to

Henderson, NV where he

resided until his death.

Roger was preceded in

death by: his parents and

his brother Lyle Huizenga,

sister-in-law Bonnie, and

his wife Floy.

Roger is survived by:

his stepchildren: Melody

Thomas (Everett), Laurel

Livingston (Norman Jr.),

Darwin Langseth (Nancy);

Niece Christine Huizenga;

Nephew Scott Huizenga; 6

grandchildren, 9

great-grandchildren, and 1

great-great-grandchild.
