Marlene Short—-71,

Minot, passed away on

Monday, May 31, 2021 in

her home.

Marlene Short was born

on May 12, 1950, a

daughter of Wayne and

Mary (Smith) Short, in

Belcourt, ND. She was

raised with her family in

the Belcourt area, and at-

tended Belcourt School.

She later moved to Minot.

While living in Minot,

Marlene raised her two

sons Kelly and Justin. In

addition to being a

full-time mother, Marlene

worked for various clean-

ing businesses and later

for Prairie Rose Home

Services, where she made

many close relationships.

She retired for health rea-

sons.

Of all the activities Mar-

lene enjoyed, her favorite

was the role of grand-

mother. She loved every

minute of time she was

able to spend with them.

Marlene was a loving

mother, grandmother, sis-

ter and friend and will be

missed by all that knew

her.

Marlene is survived by:

Sons: Kelly (Lacey

Anderson) Short and Jus-

tin (Stacey) Bruce; seven

grandchildren: Paige

(Jesse) Koch, Dylan Bruce,

Asaycia Dvorak, Nevaeh

Morgel, Kahlen Erickson,

Kaelee Bruce, Kane Bruce;

great-grandson Elliot

Koch; siblings: Darlene

DeLorme, Charlene Short,

Carl Short, Wayne “Skip”

Short; several nieces,

nephews and cousins also

survive.

Marlene was preceded

in death by her parents,

two sisters Zandra Enno

and Geraldine

Lavallie-Canfield.

Visitation: Monday,

June 7, 2021 from 9 am

until service time at

Thompson-Larson Fun-

eral Home Chapel, Minot.
