Lorraine Dahlien

Lorraine Irene Dahlien,

87, Minot, died Wednes-

day, June 16, 2021 at her

home.

Lorraine was born on

December 30, 1933 the

daughter of Iver and Inga

(Carlson) Larson. She was

raised on the family farm

near Minot and attended

country schools in that

area and assisted with the

operation of the family

farm until they moved

into Berthold.

Lorraine was united in

marriage to Donald

Dahlien on May 2, 1954 in

Minot. They made their

home in Minot, where she

was first employed as the

night supervisor at

Daddy-O. Along with rais-

ing their 3 children, she

was later employed at a

local truckstop and then

for 27 years with Sweet-

heart Bakery. She retired

in 1993. She had also

worked at the Semmen

Assisted Living Center for

13 years. Her husband,

Donald, died February 19,

1983.

Lorraine was a member

of Our Redeemer’s Luth-

eran Brethren Church in

Minot. She was active

with the Sons of Norway,

Minot Christian Women’s

Club, Primetimers, Moose

Lodge and had volun-

teered over 1,000 hours

with Trinity Hospital. he

was also active with her

Scandanavian heritage at

the Norsk Hostfest for a

number of years and was

an avid bowler, bowling

on leagues for many

years.

Lorraine’s loving fami-

ly includes: children,

Carol Dahlien, Minot,

Doug (Kathy Sivertson)

Dahlien, Minot;

daughter-in-law, Tammy

Dahlien of Rock Hills, SC;

grandchildren, McKenzie

Sivertson, Kristy (Josh)

Gessner and Jennifer

Armstrong;

great-grandchildren Devin

and Landon Armstrong;

brother, Roger (Roberta)

Larson, Minot; Sister,

Phyllis (Ken) Kiemele,

LeSeur, MN;

Sisters-in-Law, Marlene

Dahlin and Shirley Keller;

several nieces, nephews

and cousins.

Lorraine was preceded

in death by: her parents,

husband of 29 years,

Donald; son, Ronald;

grandson, Brad Dahlien

and an infant brother.

Funeral service: Friday,

June 25, 2021 at 11:00

a.m. in Our Redeemer

Church, Minot.

Interment: Sunset

Memorial Gardens, Minot.

Visitation: Thursday,

June 24th from 5:00-7:00

p.m. in Thomas Family

Funeral Home, Minot.
