Lois Kauffman

Lois Arlene Kauffman,
80, passed away unex-
pectedly in her home on
June 6, 2021.
Lois was born to Floyd
and Ida (Troyer) Kauff-
man on May 16, 1941 at
Minot ND. She grew up in
the Surrey area where she
lived most of her life.
Lois graduated from
High School at Eastern
Mennonite High School in
Harrisonburg VA and
remained there for several
years working as a cook in
the Mennonite Home for
the aged. From there she
was in Voluntary Service
for a year at Rocky Moun-
tain Mennonite Camp.
Upon completion of her
term, she returned to
Surrey and worked as a
baker at St. Joseph’s Hos-
pital in Minot. She then
worked at the Salvation
Army Thrift Store for a
number of years before re-
tiring.
She is survived by: her
two sisters, Ellen (Ken-
neth) Yoder, Plain City,
OH and Pearl (Gary)
Nussbaum, Canton, OH;
two brothers Donovan
(Wilma), Chippewa Falls,
WI and Paul, Wolford,
ND, a sister-in-law,
Florence Kauffman, Hy-
attsville, MD, a
brother-in-law, Neptune
Dixon, Lanham, MD;
along with numerous
nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in
death by: her parents, a
brother Richard, a sister
Doreen Dixon and
sister-in-law Gwendlyn
Kauffman.
Public Graveside ser-
vice: Saturday, June 12,
2021 at 3:00 p.m. in the
Fairview Cemetery, South
of Surrey.
Public Visitation: Sa-
turday from 11:30a.m. –
1:30p.m. in Thomas Fami-
ly Funeral Home, Minot.
Celebration of her life
service: June 27 at 6 PM
at the Southside Church
of the Nazarene in Minot.
