Minot, died Thursday,
April 29, 2021, in a Minot
hospital.
Charlotte Susan Knodel
was born on September
29, 1953, at St. Joseph’s
Hospital in Minot, North
Dakota, to Hilbert and
Irene (Mehl) Knodel. She
was raised and educated
in Minot graduating from
Minot High School.
After graduation Char
married the love of her
life and neighborhood
friend Bob Adam. They
were married on Sep-
tember 3, 1971, in Minot.
This coming September
would have been their
50th wedding anniver-
sary. They moved from
Minot to Sacramento, Cal-
ifornia, in 1973 and had
three children Tracey,
Sara, and Nick.
The family moved back
to North Dakota in 2006,
settling in Garrison before
returning to their home-
town of Minot. Char en-
joyed many activities
throughout her lifetime
including bowling, play-
ing cards, trips to the casi-
no, shopping, decorating
and could often be found
at the Bingo hall.
Char was a very caring
person which showed
through her volunteer
work at her children’s
schools and her time
spent babysitting her
grandkids and others. She
was always very welcom-
ing, kind, warm hearted
and had an open home to
everyone.
Charlotte is survived
by her husband, Bob;
Children, Tracey (Joe)
Rogers, Sacramento, CA,
Sara (Jesse) Heredia, Sa-
cramento, CA, and Nick
(Loralei) Adam, Minot;
Grandchildren, Isabella
and Mya Heredia, Presley
and Jake Rogers, and
Athena and Hudson
Adam; Sister, Claudia
Sveen; Nieces, Jennifer
Nielsen and Kristen Chris-
tianson; Sisters-in-laws,
Linda (Bill) Osborne, Di-
ane (Jerry) Fredriksen,
Barb (Randy) Landphere,
Jeri (Robbie) Novak, Dot-
tie (Alden) Pederson, and
Jackie (Murray) Kaeding,
along with many nieces
and nephews.
She was preceded in
death by her parents Hil-
bert and Irene Knodel,
and mother and father-
in-law, Mike and Dorothy
Adam; sister-in-law,
Phyllis Hull, and brother-
in-law, Bruce Sveen.
Funeral Service: Wed-
nesday, May 5, 2021, at
1:00 p.m. in the Thomas
Family Funeral Home,
Minot.
Visitation: Tuesday,
May 4th, from 3:00-6:00
p.m. in the funeral home.
