Catherine (Feist) Fahy
March 12, 1930 – March 27, 2021
Catherine (Feist) Fahy
of Boise Idaho passed
away in her home on Sa-
turday, March 27, 2021 at
the age of 91. She was
born in Karlsruhe, North
Dakota to Benedict Feist
and Dorothy (Streifel)
Feist. She was the eighth
of eleven children.
Catherine “Kay” mar-
ried Patrick “Pat” Fahy in
1949; they were married
almost 60 years before Pat
passed away in 2009. The
first 17 years of marriage
Pat and Kay welcomed six
children to their family.
Because of Pat’s career
they moved several times
beginning in 1960. After
moves that took the fami-
ly to Minnesota, Iowa,
Montana (Great Falls and
Missoula), and Idaho
(Twin Falls and Boise),
they settled in Boise in
1969 and made Boise
their forever home. After
the kids were grown, Kay
started working at Hewlett
Packard in Boise and
remained there until she
retired in 1995. Kay en-
joyed playing cards, bowl-
ing, walking, trips to Jack-
pot, and watching “The
Wheel.” She was a great
cook, baker, and skilled
seamstress. Kay had many
wonderful qualities she
will always be remem-
bered for. Most memor-
able and endearing was
her smile and quick wit.
Mom – you will forever
be loved and missed by
your children and
grandchildren. We will
miss hearing you say,
“You’re not gonna like
this” as you lay your cards
on the table and win our
money!
