Thomas Lee Harmon

Nov. 22, 1937-Feb. 13, 2021

Thomas Lee Harmon,

age 83, passed away on

February 13th, 2021 in

West Richland, Washing-

ton. Thomas was born to

Miles and Clara Harmon

on November 22nd, 1937

in Minot, North Dakota.

He grew up in Ruso,

North Dakota on a small

family farm and was the

fifth of seven children.

Thomas along with his

brothers and sisters at-

tended school at a nearby

one-room schoolhouse,

where there was rarely

more than two or three

students in each grade.

After school, Thomas

worked on the farm with

his father, then joined the

Army and went to Korea.

He had many fond

memories of the times

and friendships he made

overseas. After fulfilling

his military service, he re-

turned to North Dakota

and married Rozalind Vic-

toria Olson. Together they

had two sons, Brian &

Roger.

Thomas studied and be-

came a Journeyman Line-

man in North Dakota. He

eventually moved his

family to Washington

State in 1972 and worked

for Seattle City Light for

nearly three decades. Tom

loved his family and spent

lots of time camping and

fishing with them. He

loved cars and passed his

love for them on to his

sons and grandsons. Tho-

mas enjoyed playing

sports with his boys and

helped coach many of

their teams. He had much

to teach, as back in the

day he was a proud team-

mate of the Ruso Redcaps

Baseball Team. Later in

life, after the passing of

his first wife, Thomas met

and married Anne Eggers

on April 26th, 1991. On

that special day, he

gained a wife and three

wonderful children, Jo-

san, Brodean & Trent. To-

gether their families

blended as one.

Thomas was a “Prince

of a Man”, had a huge

heart, and was the ulti-

mate caregiver. He loved

animals and always had

dogs, cats, birds, and an

occasional gopher by his

side. He often mentioned

a crow that he had on the

farm as a kid and how he

taught it how to talk.

Tom’s love for animals

lives on through the gen-

erous donations that he

made to various animal

funds, including the

Humane Society. Thomas

also tirelessly provided

loving care for both of his

loving wives, who have

proceeded him in death.

Thomas is survived by:

his two sons, Brian &

Roger Harmon, both of

West Richland, Washing-

ton. In addition, three

stepchildren also survive

Thomas; Brodean Eggers

(Karen) of Port Lions,

Alaska; Trent Eggers

(Lori) of Mott, ND; and Jo-

san Eggers of Fargo, ND.

Grandchildren include

Mason & Austin Harmon

of West Richland, WA;

Brandon Eggers, Chelsie

Eggers, Jonah Eggers,

Yvonnah Marshall all of

Fargo, ND; Alicia Eggers

of Bismarck, ND; Logan

Eggers of Port Lions, Alas-

ka; and Tyler Eggers of

Mott, ND. Great

Grandchildren include

Makiyah Mullins,

Malieyah Mullins, and

Avionnah Eggers all of

Fargo, ND. Thomas also is

survived by his four sis-

ters, Virgina Arnold, Bar-

bara Hoffman, Delaree

Keller, and Kay Olson. He

will also be missed by

many nieces, nephews,

and in-laws. Thomas was

very proud of his family,

especially his grandsons

Mason & Austin – who

will carry on the

“Harmon” family name.

Thomas will be remem-

bered as an honest and

loving servant of God, a

loving father & grandfa-

ther, devoted husband,

and a true friend to count-

less others.
