Olaf J. Erickson

Olaf J. Erickson, the son

of Jacob and Agnes (Nova-

cek) Erickson was born on

April 9, 1928 in Cavalier

County, North Dakota. He

died peacefully with his

family by his side at the

age of 93 on Sunday,

April 18, 2021 at the

Heart of America Care

Center in Rugby, North

Dakota.

On April 19, 1950, he

was united in marriage to

Verna Sunderland in

Nekoma.

He is survived by: his

children, Dale (Karen) of

Roosevelt, UT, Dean (Bon-

ita) of Langdon, Earl (Di-

ane) of West Fargo, Janet

(Rick) Taylor of Gillette,

WY, Randy (Karen) of Ar-

vada, CO, Judy (Todd)

Alme of Grand Forks, Da-

vid (Dedre) of Fargo, Lori

(Mike) Feist of Fargo and

Alan (Lisa) of Grand

Forks; 19 grandchildren

and 4 great-grandchildren

and a sister, Fran Kartes

of Duluth.

Mass of Christian Buri-

al will be held at 10:30

a.m. Saturday, April 24 at

St. Cecilia’s Catholic

Church in Towner. Burial

with full military honors

will be at 1:00 p.m. in the

church cemetery.

Visitation will be from

5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday

with a rosary and vigil

prayer service beginning

at 7:00 p.m. at the church.
