James “Bim” Berdahl,

69, Towner, ND, formerly

of Minot, passed away Sa-

turday, March 20, 2021, in

his home.

James Eugene Berdahl

was born October 25,

1951, the son of Vernon

and Alyce (Nelson) Ber-

dahl, in McVille, ND. He

was raised in Minot and

attended Nedrose Elemen-tary School and Minot

High School. He later at-

tended the Wahpeton

State School of Science,

where he attained his

welding degree.

Jim enlisted in the Unit-

ed States Army January

16, 1969. He served his

country during the Viet-

nam War and was honor-

ably discharged in 1975.

Jim married Diane

Boeshans on May 3, 1980.

From this union, two

sons, Joshua and Christo-

pher, were born. They

later were divorced.

Jim married Kimberly

(Severson) Myers on

March 18, 2003, and the

couple made their home

in Towner, ND.

He was jack of all

trades. For 30 years he

worked in the sand and

gravel industry. He retired

in 2016 from Susag Sand

and Gravel.

Jim’s life-long passions

were hunting and fishing.

He had many adventures

hunting and fishing with

his sons, brothers-in-law

and many friends. In

better health, he loved

fishing with his brother-

in-law, Wayne, in Texas.

James was a Minnesota

Vikings fan until the end.

Jim was a loving hus-

band, father, grandfather,

brother and friend. He

will be missed by all that

knew him.

His loving family in-

cludes: wife, Kimberly,

Towner, ND; sons, Joshua

(Therese), Minot, ND, and

Christopher, Minot, ND;

step-son, Justin (Jessica)

Myers, Towner, ND;

grandchildren, Hazzen

and Hudson Berdahl,

Eveleyn Arnold, Urijah

and Taylor Myers; broth-

ers, Ronald, Gordon, Ver-

non, all of Melbourne, FL,

Emil (Julene), South

Prairie, ND, Duane Mikk-

elson, and Twila (Wayne)

Adair, Houston, TX;

brothers-in-law, Richard,

Rory, Stuart (Rebecca),

and Brady (Wendy) Sever-

son, all of Minot, Gregory

(Michele) Severson, South

Prairie, ND, Paul (Joan)

Severson, Surrey, ND;

sisters-in-law, Vicki

Dean-Azure, Minot, ND,

and Kyla (Edward) White-

man, El Paso, TX; and

many nieces, nephews

and cousins.

He was preceded in

death by: his father, Ver-

step-father, Russell Mikk-

elson, sister, Shirley Hofer

and brother, Otto Mikkel-

son, sisters-in-law, De-

borah and Edna Jean.

Funeral: Monday,

March 29, 2021, at 11:00

a.m. at Saron Lutheran

Church, South Prairie,

ND.

Interment: Saron

Norwegian Lutheran

Church Cemetery, South

Prairie.

Visitation: Sunday from

1 to 3 p.m. at Thompson-

Larson Funeral Home,

Minot.
