Minot, ND, passed away
Tuesday, January 12,
2021, at Trinity Homes in
Minot.
Harvey was born Janu-
ary 24, 1928, in Bonetrail,
ND. He was the 4th of 11
children born to Bryan
and Mamie (Seeb) Albert.
He was raised on the fam-
ily farm and attended a
country school in the
area.
In 1952, he started his
career with the Great
Northern Railroad, which
later became Burlington
Northern Railroad. To-
wards the end of his em-
ployment, he went to
work for Amtrak for a
short time before going
back to Burlington North-
ern. He retired in 1993, as
a brakeman after 41 years.
Harvey was united in
marriage to Mary Lou
Cartwright November 23,
1953, in Anamoose, ND.
With Harvey’s job, they
had made their home in
Minot, Fargo and then
back to Minot after retir-
ing.
He was a member of
Our Lady of Grace Cathol-
ic Church, the Moose
Lodge, the Eagles Aerie,
the Elks Lodge, all of
Minot.
He enjoyed playing
cards and watching base-
ball, especially the Min-
nesota Twins.
His loving family in-
cludes: wife of 67 years,
Mary Lou, Minot; chil-
dren, Marva Albert,
Springfield, OR; Mitchell
(Julia) Albert, Eugene, OR;
and Marcia (Kurt) Von-
Bokern, Minot; grandchil-dren, Carly (Scot) Land-
ford, Melissa (Seth) Clark,
Levi VonBokern, Saman-
tha VonBokern, and So-
phia VonBokern;
great-grandchildren, Aric
Langford and Lyla Clark;
brother, Mike (Joyce) Al-
bert; sisters, Marion Irwin
and Jo Trewartha;
brother-in-law, Donald
Quam; sister-in-law, Betty
Albert; and numerous
nieces, nephews and
cousins.
Harvey was preceded
in death by: his parents;
brothers, Lloyd (Geor-
gette), Fred, Edward, Les-
ter (Midge), and Joey; sis-
ters, Dorothy (Leo) Ell and
Shirley Quam; and
brothers-in-law, Thomas
Irwin and Don Trewartha.
Private Family Mass of
Christian Burial: Wednes-
day, January 20, 2021, at
11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of
Grace Catholic Church,
Minot.
Interment: Rosehill
Memorial Park, Minot,
ND.
