Doris Pederson, 90,

Minot, entered eternal

rest on Thursday, January

14, 2021 with family by

her side at Trinity Homes.

Doris was born January

26, 1930 at Minot, North

Dakota the daughter of

Richard and Ida (Schmidt)

Pederson. She was raised

on the family farm

southwest of Minot, and

graduated from Hillcrest

High School in Fergus

Falls, MN. She continued

her education at Minot

State Teachers College,

where she received a stan-

dard teaching degree.

Throughout the years,

Doris taught at one room

schools in the Minot area

and later at Des

Lacs/Burlington and Max-

bass. She also taught as a

missionary in Africa for

the Lutheran Brethren

Missions program. She re-

tired in 1992 after 40

years in the education

system.

Doris was a member of

Our Redeemer’s Lutheran

Brethren Church, Minot.

She was known by many

as a “Prayer Warrior.” She

enjoyed playing the piano,

accordion and reading.

She was gifted with the

blessing of visiting with

others. She was thankful

for all her friends at Hen-

ry Towers and a special

thank you to the Staff at

Trinity Homes for your

love and care. God bless

her loving memory!

Her family includes:

brothers, Richard “Dick”

Pederson, rural Minot;

Arthur (Linda) Pederson,

Seattle, WA and Rollin

Pederson, Denver, Colora-do; a number of nieces,

nephews, great-nieces and

great-nephews.

Doris was preceded in

death by: her parents,

brother Paul, sisters: Lois,

Eunice, Marcella,

sisters-in-law: Marlene

and Beverly, nephews Bri-

an Pederson, Kevin Peder-

son.

Funeral service: Mon-

day, January 18, 2021 at

11:00 a.m. in Our Redee-

mers Lutheran Brethren

Church, Minot. Masks are

required and social dis-

tancing guidelines will be

followed.

Interment: Zion Luth-

eran Cemetery, rural

Minot.

Visitation: Sunday from

1:00-3:00 p.m. in Thomas

Family Funeral Home.
