Carlotta Vastag

Carlotta “Mouse” Jean

Marie Vastag, 50, passed

away on December 20,

2020, in St. Cloud, Min-

nesota. She was born on

March 10, 1970 in Min-

neapolis, MN to Roger

and Paulette Vastag.

Carlotta grew up in

Sawyer, ND and graduat-

ed from Sawyer High

School in 1988. After high

school she moved to

Anaheim, California

where she was employed

as a nanny. While living

in Anaheim she attended

community college and

studied Early Childhood

Education. After a few

years of the California life,

Carlotta moved to Minot,

ND where she worked at

Minot Head Start for a

number of years as an Ear-

ly Childhood Aide and

also as a Parent Aide. She

loved working with chil-

dren and their parents.

Seeking a new adventure,

she moved to St. Cloud,

MN where she was em-

ployed for many years by

Arvig, Inc. Carlotta loved

outdoor activities, includ-ing swimming, hiking,

and kayaking. She espe-

cially enjoyed spending

time with all of her nieces

and nephews and joined

them on many outings

throughout Minnesota.

During the cold winter

months, she enjoyed

quilting, sewing and knit-

ting for her family. Carlot-ta had a love for photogra-phy and was an accom-

plished photographer

with a special knack for

finding beauty in every-

thing she photographed.

Carlotta is survived by:

her dad, Clayton Fredrick-

son Minot, ND, sister, De-

anna (Mark) Hager of

Bismarck, ND, brothers

D’Arcy (Christi)

Villneauve of St. Cloud,

MN, and Clinton Vastag of

Sartell, MN and nieces

Danielle, Ashton, Alysia,

Sahara, and Bailey and

nephews Hunter, Jordan,

Raven, and Hudson.

Carlotta was preceded

in death by: her parents

Paulette Poitra

Villneauve, biological fa-

ther Roger Vastag and

along with her maternal

and paternal grandparents

and several of her aunts,

uncles and cousins.

A celebration of Life

will be held at the Waters

Church 1227 Pine Cone

Rd. N. Sartell, MN at 1:00

PM on January 21, 2021.

Due to the COVID-19 res-

trictions there will not be

a gathering or meal after

the service.
