Minot, ND, passed away

Sunday, December 13,

2020 in his home sur-

rounded by his loved

ones.

Ronald LeRoy Huber

was born October 12,

1943 in Westhope, ND to

Marion and Alice

(Lesmann) Huber. He was

reared and educated in

Maxbass, ND, graduated

from Maxbass High

School.

On July 31, 1963, Ron

was united in marriage to

Shirley Jenstead in Max-

bass. They lived in

Westhope and Maxbass

before moving to Minot in

1965. They later moved to

Rolette where Ron and

Shirley went to work at

the local lumberyard, Ron

as a manager and Shirley

as the book keeper. In

1969, the couple moved

back to Minot, where Ron

managed Great Plains

Supply Company. Ron

managed the company for

many years before taking

the job as district

manager, at this stage in

his career he realized that

his true calling was work-

ing with the public and

contractors hand to hand,

face to face and not at the

corporate level.

Ron went back to Great

Plains Supply in Minot as

a manager back to the em-

ployees, contractors and

people he loved so dearly.

Ron retired in 1988 from

GPS and purchased Minot

Lumber and Hardware.

Ron, Shirley and family

worked together at Minot

Lumber and Hardware

until Shirley’s passing

April 2, 1999. Ron and his

boys continued to operate

Minot Lumber and

Hardware until March 31,

2009.

Ron married Barbara

(Forsberg) Jacobson, Janu-

ary 28, 2002, in Las Vegas,

NV. They made their

home in Minot and win-

tered in Maricopa, AZ.

Ron enjoyed golfing,

fishing, hunting, playing

poker, watching a good

dirt track race, and taking

his dog, Mimi, for walks.

Most of all, he enjoyed

spending time with his

family, especially his

grandchildren and

great-grandchildren.

His loving family in-

cludes: wife, Barb, Minot;

sons, Joe Huber, Hinsdale,

MT, Troy (Carlene)

Huber, Minot, Cory (Pam)

Huber, Minot, and Trever

(Evie) Huber, Minot;

grandchildren, Corey

(Jeannie) Mock, Amanda

Huber, Braden (Tia)

Huber, Shad Huber,

Dylan Huber;

great-grandchildren, Em-

mett, Grayson and Cam-

don; step-children, Roni

(Gary) Wilson, Dawn (Jay)

Krueger, and Justin Jacob-

son; step-grandchildren,

Tate, Mia, Ty, Creighton,

MicKaine and Patton;

mother-in-law, Adeline

Forsberg, Minot; siblings,

Gerald (Mary) Huber,

Mesa, AZ, Myrna (Larry)

Romine, Maxbass, ND,

Sandy (Maurice) Thoren-

son, Mandan, ND, Gary

(Debbie) Huber, Garrison,

ND; sister-in-law, Sharon

(Rodney) Guderjahn,

Minot; and numerous

nieces, nephews and

cousins.

He was preceded in

death by his parents,

Marion and Alice Huber;

wife, Shirley;

father-in-law and

mother-in-law, Norman

and Evelyn Jenstead.

Celebrating the Life of

Due to the Coronavirus

Pandemic, A Private Fun-

eral Service by invitation

will be held Friday, De-

cember 18, 2020, at 10:00

am at Bread of Life Luth-

eran Church, Minot.

The family encourages

those attending to wear

masks and social distance.

A Public Graveside Ser-

vice will be held on Fri-

day at 10:45 am at

Rosehill Memorial Park,

Minot, ND. Due to the

Coronavirus Pandemic,

please observe social dis-

tancing.

Memorials: In lieu of

flowers, memorials are

preferred to Bread of Life

Lutheran Church in

Minot.
