LeRoy Knutson, 84,
Mohall, formerly of Tol-
ley, died Thursday, Nov.
26, 2020, at a Mohall
nursing home.
He was born Sept. 14,
1936, in Kenmare, to John
W. and Edna (Larson)
Knutson. He graduated
from Sherwood High
School in 1954. He gra-
duated from the North
Dakota State School of
Science and then enlisted
in the U.S. Air Force in
1957. He served his coun-
try for five years.
Upon returning home,
he enrolled in the
Milwaukee School of En-
gineering, graduating with
honors in 1964. He
worked as an engineer for
Conoco-Phillips in Cut-
bank, Mont., before re-
turning to Grover Town-
ship, rural Tolley, to farm
and ranch after the death
of his uncle, Norman
Knutson.
In 1980, Mervin mar-
ried Agnes (Mayer) Ring.
Mervin and Agnes contin-ued to farm and ranch un-
til moving to Mohall in
2017.
Mervin was a member
of St. Jerome Catholic
Church, Mohall, the
American Legion in Tol-
ley and Mohall and the
Mohall Gun Club. He was
a very avid hunter and
fisherman. He enjoyed
playing pool, bowling, ice
fishing, trap shooting and
darts.

Funeral: 2 p.m., Fri-
day, Dec. 4, 2020, at St.
Jerome Catholic Church,

Burial: Mohall Com-
munity Cemetery, Mohall.
