He married Laurie
(Johnson) Heinze on April

Catholic Church in Minot.
They made their home in

Donald was employed
by Farmers Union Oil
Company and retired
from Minot Public
Schools as a bus mechan-
ic in 1998. In his early
years he was active in the

close friends.
Donald and Laurie were
blessed with eight chil-

ways filled with much
laughter and activity.
Everyone was always wel-

Donald’s hobbies includ-
ed fishing, hunting, pull
tabs, going to the casino
with his beloved Laurie,
family, and friends. He
loved watching black and
white western movies. He
was an avid “Donny
Schatz” fan and his
greatest joy was when he
could go to the sprint car
races with his children
and grandchildren. He
loved the outdoors and
passed that love down to
his children and grand-
children. The best of
times were all the camp-
