Carl McDaniel, 85,
Minot, died Tuesday, De-
cember 1, 2020, in a
Minot hospital.
Carl was born January
7, 1935, in Waycross, GA
to Elmond and Viola (Hol-
land) McDaniel. He called
Waresboro, GA, home
during his youth. Carl gra-
duated from Waresboro
High School in 1952 and
attended Lee College in
Cleveland, TN.
Carl was drafted into
the US Army on De-
cember 10, 1957. He was
granted a medical
discharge in January 1958.
Carl was united in mar-
riage to Beverly Brostrom
on June 13, 1959, in
Minot. They made their
home in Florida between
Waldo and Alachua. He
worked at Sperry-Rand
Corp, Deerhaven Power
Generation Station and
General Electric Battery
Division.
They returned to Minot
in 1983. Carl purchased
the Charlebois Welding
Shop and operated the
business until the shop
closed in 1992. He was a
journeyman pipefitter/
welder, plumber, power
generation machinist,
blacksmith and automo-
tive mechanic who held
numerous certifications
during his working years.
Carl attended First As-
sembly of God in Minot
and was a past member of
West Minot Church of
God. He was a restorer of
old Mercedes-Benz vehi-
cles and enjoyed spending
time in the orchards tend-
ing to apples and grapes.
He valued time in the out-
doors hunting and travel-
ing with his family
throughout the years.
Carl is survived by: his
loving wife of 61 years,
Beverly, Minot; children
Loir (Andrea) McDaniel,
Street, MD, Jan (Rod)
Hansen, Minot, and Carla
(Chris) Ware, Baltimore,
MD; grandchildren Joelle,
Josh & Jared McDaniel,
Alyssa (Kyle) Spokely,
Aaron (Sarah) Hansen and
Joel and Claire Ware;
great-grandchildren Ga-
briel and Grayson Spoke-
ly; siblings Doris Dickson,
Tampa, FL, and Lamar
McDaniel, Baltimore, MD,
along with numerous
nieces and nephews.
Carl was preceded in
death by: his parents,
brothers Raymond, Roy
and Earl McDaniel and
sister Thelma Tanton.

2:00 p.m. Thursday, De-
cember 3, 2020, at First
Assembly of God, Minot.

vice will be available for
viewing on Friday, De-
cember 4, 2020 on his

Interment: Rosehill
Memorial Park, Minot.
Visitation will be held
on Thursday, December 3,
2020, from 12:00 p.m. un-
til the start of the service
at the church.
