Theodore “Ted” Voeller

Oct. 23, 1933-Nov. 18, 2020

Theodore “Ted” Voell-

er, 87, of Minot, formerly

of Karlsruhe and Velva

passed away, Thursday,

November 18, 2020 at a

Minot Hospital.

Theodore R. Voeller

was born on October 23,

1933 to Anton and Eliza-

beth (Heilman) Voeller.

He was raised and grew

up on the family farm in

Karlsruhe, ND and attend-ed schoolhouse Hubbel

#1 where he received

awards for attendance and

was known for reciting

the poem Little Jack

Horner Sat In the Corner.

After completing school

Ted decided his calling in

life was farming and

ranching. He farmed and

ranched with his dad and

eventually took over the

family farm.

On August 16, 1969 Ted

was united in marriage to

Barbara Rohrer at Sts.

Peter and Paul Catholic

Church, Karlsruhe. They

continued on the family

farm where they raised

their three children. Bar-

bara entered the nursing

home in 2010 and Ted

made daily trips to visit

her. Barbara passed away

in 2011. Ted continued to

reside on the farm and

raise cattle with his son

Steven until 2016 when

he moved into Valley

View Manor in Velva. In

the spring of 2019 Ted

moved into The Welling-

ton in Minot and later that

fall into Trinity Nursing

Home.

Ted was a member of

Sts. Peter and Paul

Catholic Church where he

served as an usher and on

the church board for

several years. He was also

a member of the Minot

Eagles Club and the Minot

Moose Lodge. Ted served

as a supervisor on the

Karlsruhe Township for

45 years. Some of Ted’s

favorite things were play-

ing pinochle, fixing things

and tinkering around on

the farm. He was extreme

ly proud of his family and

especially proud of his

two granddaughters.

Ted was preceded in

death by: his parents,

wife Barbara, son Steven,

sister Lucille Gustin,

brother Odel,

brothers-in-law Ed Gustin

and Ray Current and

sister-in-law, Karen Mock

Ted is survived by: his

daughter Roxane, Silver

Spring, MD, son, Teddy,

Bloomington, MN; grand-

daughters, Roxana and

Rasmine, Silver Springs,

MD; sister, Pat Current,

Apple Valley, MN;

sister-in-law, Kim (Will)

Hale, Oxford, MI; along

with several nieces,

nephews and cousins

Visitation: Monday, No-

vember 23, 2020 from 5

until 7 pm at

Thompson-Larson Fun-

eral Home, Minot with a

vigil service at 7 in the

chapel of the funeral

home. Due to the Corona-

virus Pandemic, please

wear masks and observe

social distancing.
