(Raney) Bauer, 85,

Bismarck, ND, formerly of

Kenmare, ND, passed

away on Nov. 2, 2020 sur-

rounded by family in her

home.

Louise was born on Au-

gust 20, 1935, daughter of

Louis and Jennie (Hagen)

Raney in Kenmare, ND at

the Deaconess Hospital.

She grew up in the Sher-

wood area. The Raney

family traveled to Califor-

nia in 1951, later returned

to ND for a year before

permanently settling in

California. Louise stayed

and lived with her

grandparents her senior

year to graduate from

Sherwood High School in

1954.

Louise married Michael

Bauer on June 30, 1954.

They farmed and raised

eight children in the Tol-

ley area.

Louise was employed at

the Sherwood bowling al-

ley, where she manually

set up each pin. She sold

Avon for years, where she

won many awards. She

ran the Tolley Cafe. She

worked at the Kenmare

Hospital as a cook until

she retired in 2002.

Louise had a spirit for

life and a strong work eth-

ic. She loved being with

her family, traveling and

playing games. A huge

highlight of her life was

winning a car on the Price

is Right in 2003.

She was a member of

Sts. Peter and Paul

Catholic Church in Tol-

ley, ND, then St. Agnes

Catholic Church in Ken-

mare.
