Minot, ND, passed away,

Sunday, November 22,

2020, at Edgewood

Memory Care in Minot.

Lorraine Mae Pieterick

was born July 10, 1930,

the daughter of Roman

and Laura (Kriz) Pieterick.

She was raised and edu-

cated in Cayuga, ND. She

attended rural elementary

school in Shuman Town-

ship. She attended high

school at St. Frances

Academy in Hankinson,

ND, and graduated from

Rultand High School. Fol-

lowing graduation she

furthered her education at

Wahpeton State School of

Science.

Lorraine married Roger

Lock at Cayuga, ND, in

1948 at St. Peter and Paul

Church. They moved to

Lidgerwood for several

years then to Rutland,

ND. In 1960, the couple

moved to Minot. After

raising 8 children, she de-

cided to go to work doing

housekeeping for various

families and offices. In

1987, she went to work at

Trinity Hospital. She re-

tired in 1994. In 2000, she

worked part time for Sem-

men Assisted Living in

Minot as a caregiver for 6

years.

Lorraine was truly a

caring, kind and selfless

person who always found

the good in every person

and situation, a non-judg-

mental sweet soul. She

was the strength and love

who kept it all together

for her family no matter

how hard life could be,

guided by her strong faith

in God.

She enjoyed her month-

ly get togethers with

friends to play cards, visit

and eat treats. She also

enjoyed crocheting, em-

broidering dish towels

and was the best cook and

baker.

She was a member of

VFW Ladies Auxiliary

Post #753, Confraternity

of Christian Mothers, St.

Teresa Guild, St. Leo the

Great Catholic Church

and Western Fraternal

Lodge.

The Lock family would

like to thank everyone for

the many acts of kindness

and prayers during this

difficult time.

A special thank you to

her second family, the

staff at Edgewood Mem-

ory Care and the Hospice

program for your love,

care and compassion with

our mother. As she would

often tell us, “They are

good to me.”

Her loving family in-

ren; numerous nieces and

nephews.

Lorraine was preceded

in death by her parents,

Roman and Laura; hus-

band, Roger; brothers,

Lloyd (Babs) and William

“Bill” (Bonnie) Pieterick;

son-in-law, David Ballan-

tyne; brothers-in-law,

Harvey Lock and Donald

Lock; sisters-in-law, Jerry

(Cliff) Murray and Marion

(Norbert) Kulzer.

Celebrating the Life of

Due to the Coronavirus

Pandemic, A Private Fam-

ily Mass of Christian

Burial will be held: Mon-

day, November 30, 2020,

at 10:30 am at St. Leo the

Great Roman Catholic

Church in Minot, ND. The

family encourages those

attending to wear masks

and social distance.

Interment: Rosehill

Memorial Park, Minot,

ND.

Visitation: Sunday from

3 to 5p.m. at Thompson

-Larson Funeral Home,

Minot.

Vigil Prayer Service:

Sunday at 5 p.m. at

Thompson-Larson Fun-

eral Home, Minot.
