Judith Pond

Judith Lavonne Pond,

the daughter of Oliver and

Gladys (Korsmoe) Sveund

was born on September

16, 1942 in Rugby, North

Dakota. She died at the

age of 78 years on

Wednesday, November

11, 2020 at the Heart of

America Medical Center

in Rugby, North Dakota.

Judy was raised and

educated in Towner,

North Dakota. She was

united in marriage to Ernest (Buster/Slugger) Pond

on August 10, 1962 in

Towner. After their marriage, they made their

home on Clevinger Ranch

west of Towner. In the

mid-60’s, they moved to

Washington State for a

few years and returning to

the Towner/Bantry area.

Together, they raised their

four children. She was a

member of the Zion Lutheran Church of Towner.

She enjoyed playing

Bingo, baking and her biggest joy was being a

grandma. She was a great

mom, aunt, grandmother

and friend, who will be

missed.

Judy is survived by her

children, Carol Natwick

(Brian) of Upham, Cheryl

(Jeff) Nelson of Bismarck,

Ralph (Peggy) Pond of

Towner and Ronald

(Christi) Pond of Berthold;

eleven grandchildren; six

great grandchildren; sisters, Sharon Drader (Bob)

of Bantry and Delilah

(Carter) McBeth of Bantry;

brothers, Harvey (Marilyn) Sveund of Towner,

Allen (Cindy) Sveund of

Bismarck and Donald

(Kati) Sveund of Towner;

many nieces, nephews;

other relatives and

friends. She was preceded

in death by her husband,

Ernest; sister, Clovis Lee

and her husband James;

niece, Lori Sebastian and

her parents.

Graveside services will

be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, November 15 at Bantry Union Cemetery in

Bantry, North Dakota.
