Jill Luchsinger, 82,
Minot and formerly of rur-
al Surrey died on Thurs-
day, November 5, 2020 in
a Minot hospital.
Jill Claire was born on
December 30, 1937 in
Minot to Harold and
Kathryn (Frost) Dickin-
son. She was raised on a
farm near Surrey, attend-
ed school in Surrey and
graduated from Surrey
High School in 1956. As a
young adult she was em-
ployed at Minot Imple-
ment.
Jill married L. Curtis
Luchsinger on November
9, 1957 at St. Leo’s Cathol-
ic Church – Minot. They
made their home on a
farm in Surrey Township
of Ward County, north of
Surrey, where they raised
small grains and sun-
flowers for many years.
They retired from farming
in 1995 and moved to
Minot in 2004. L. Curtis
died on November 6,
2019.
Jill was a member of
Our Lady of Grace Cathol-
ic Church and a former
longtime member of St.
Leo’s Catholic Church. An
active member of the
Surrey community, she
was a member of the
P.T.A., & Music Boosters
and was a poll worker and
election judge for many
years. She especially en-
joyed music, baking,
cooking, rodeos and mak-
ing fleece blankets for her
grandchildren and others.
Jill’s loving family in-
cludes her children: Loree
Lovdahl of Phoenix, AZ,
Jan Luchsinger of Minot
and Melisa Healy of Lay-
ton, Utah; grandchildren:
Lanna Lovdahl, Meghan
Healy, Lacie, Savana,
Dakota and Madison
Luchsinger, and Lane
Johnson; great grandchil-
dren: Skylynn and Lakin;
brother: Keith (Linda)
Dickinson; in-laws: Mil-
ton (Deanna), Burton &
Kenny Luchsinger, Leone
Brusven & Lois Luchs-
inger, and several nieces,
nephews and cousins.
Jill was preceded in
death by her parents, hus-
band, brother: Eugene
Dickinson, brothers-
in-law: Paul & Donald
Luchsinger and Dale
Brusven; sisters-in-law:
Marilyn Butler, Bev
Luchsinger and Audrey
Dickinson; nephews: Tim
& Bill Dickinson & E.P.
Luchsinger; niece: Susan
Dickinson and step niece:
Tiffany Lozensky.
