Shirley J. DeFeyter, 76,

Velva, formerly of Minot,

died Tuesday, October 6,

2020 in a Velva care facili-ty.

Shirley Jean Trimborn

was born on June 16,

1944, a daughter of Alfred

and Evelyn (Magnuson)

Trimborn in Minot, ND.

She was raised and edu-

cated in the Sawyer, ND

area.

In 1964, Shirley was

united in marriage to

Jesse DeFeyter in Minot.

They made their home in

Minot, where Shirley was

a homemaker and volun-

teered at Minot State. The

couple later divorced.

Shirley worked as a

custodian at Minot State

University until health

reasons forced her into re-

tirement in 1997. She en-

joyed listening to music

and going to the coffee

club.

Shirley is survived by:

Children: Diane (Tim)

Cohrs, Darin (Anissa)

Otto; four grandchildren:

two great-grandchildren:

two sisters Marilyn Carl-

son and Sharon (Dale)

Nelson; several nieces,

nephews and cousins also

survive.

Shirley was preceded

in death by: her parents, a

granddaughter Jennifer,

step-granddaughter

Amanda Petersen, one

brother Allyn and a sister

Mary Lou.

Visitation: There will

be no reviewal as crema-

tion has taken place, how-

ever friends may sign a

guest register on Satur-

day, October 17, 2020 one

hour prior to the service

at the church.

turday, October 17, 2020

at 11 am at Oak Valley

Lutheran Church, Velva.
