96, Minot, ND, passed

away Friday, October 23,

2020, in a Minot Hospital.

Kathleen Margaret

Walsh was born No-

vember 15, 1923, the

daughter of James and

Magdeline (Frost) Walsh

in Minot, ND. Kathleen

grew up on a farm south

of Minot. She loved shar-

ing stories about her ad-

ventures on the farm with

her brothers and sisters.

She attended St. Leo’s

high school, where she

would meet her sweet-

heart, who was a basket-

ball player at her rival

Minot High School. She

married Robert Vernon

Kondos on June 18, 1943,

in Denver, Colorado.

Robert passed away on

January 31, 2002. They

made their home in

Minot, where they raised

their four children, Craig,

Mary Beth, Lisa and Rob.

The Kondos family

owned ABC Cleaners in

Minot from 1948-1969.

Kathleen worked there as

a seamstress. Sewing was

her favorite hobby. She

was also known for her

famous brownies and

“Special Kay” bars.

Kathleen cherished her

time working at Medical

Arts Clinic. Her Medical

Arts family was near and

dear to her heart. Her

co-workers, Colleen and

Nancy, always included

her in any after hours fun

activities and shenani-

gans.

In her later years, she

worked part time at the

clinic as a greeter. Those

who knew “Special Kay”

knew how much she

loved to “visit.” Until the

age of 87, she was the per-

son who greeted patients

at the entrance and direct-ed them to their health-

care doctors.

Over the years, Kath-

leen was active in her par-

ish of Little Flower

Catholic Church, Minot.

She worked on the Parish

Council. She participated

in Confraternity of Chris-

tian Mothers and as a Lay

Minister. She also volun-

teered at the nursing

home. She worked hard

to support her church.

The Catholic faith was

the main focus of her life.

Her four children attend-

ed Little Flower and

Bishop Ryan High School.

Kathleen is survived

by: her brother, Jerome

(Mary) Walsh; her chil-

dren, Craig (Sherry) Kon-

dos, Mary Beth Meader,

Lisa Voiles and Rob (Shel-

ly) Kondos.

Grandma Kay loved

spending time with her

grandkids and great-

grandkids.

Her grandkids include

KC (Renae) Kondos,

Courtney Keller, Ryan

Voiles, Nick (Katie) Kon-

dos, Natalie (Nick) Popel-

ka, Jennifer Kondos and

Chad Stein.

Her great-grandkids are

Kendell, Karli and Colton

Keller, Rylee and Andie

Kondos, Teddy Voiles and

Kelsie and Natalie Kon-

dos.

Kathleen was preceded

in death by her parents;

husband, Robert Kondos,

sister, Lucille (Art) Hofer,

brother, Monsignor Ger-

ald Walsh and sister, Lois

(Don) Westom.

Bob and Kathleen loved

to dance. They often

joined their friends at the

Elks on Saturday Nights.

Little Flower Catholic

Church in Minot.

Visitation: Tuesday, Oc-

tober 27, 2020, from 5

p.m. to 7 p.m. at the

Thompson-Larson Fun-

eral Home, Minot, ND.

Covid 19 regulations and

guidelines will be fol-

lowed

Memorials: In lieu of

flowers, memorials are

preferred to Bishop Ryan

Catholic School

Burial: Rosehill Mem-

orial Park, Minot, ND.
