Elroy Herr, 77, Minot,

ND, passed away Satur-

day, October 10, 2020, at a

Minot hospital.

Elroy Loren Herr was

born September 24, 1943,

the son of Alfred and

Emma Marie (Kuckert)

Herr, in Harvey, ND. El-

roy was educated at a rur-

al school in Harris Town-

ship then attended

McClusky High School

from which he graduated

from in 1963.

Elroy married Kathy

Driessen on February 14,

1966 in Balfour, ND.

They made their home at

the family farm where he

helped his dad farm until

1968. They moved to

Minot where Elroy

worked at Bacon Signs. In

1971 they moved to

Surrey ND and he worked

at Capital Vending until

1990. After his divorce in

1990 Elroy moved to War-

road, Minnesota where he

worked at Marvin Win-

dows Plant till 1996. Due

to health problems, he

moved back to Minot,

then in 1998 moved to

McClusky. Elroy then

moved to Garrison to be

closer to his mother, then

the last year of his life

moved to Minot to be

closer to his children and

brother.

Elroy was a member of

member of the Surrey

Rural Fire Department,

the Knights of Columbus,

and Eagles.

He enjoyed camping,

hunting, fishing, cooking,

and collecting coins. He

was an avid Minnesota

Vikings fan all his life.

Surviving family in-

cludes: son, Lonnie Herr,

Surrey, ND; daughter,

Kimberly Landphere,

Surrey, ND; brother,

Delwayne Herr, Minot,

ND; sister, Clarice Es-

linger, Garrison, ND; and

several grandchildren and

great-grandchildren.

Elroy was preceded in

death by his parents; and

son, Dean Herr

Pandemic, A Private Fam-

ily Funeral by invitation

will be held Wednesday,

October 14, 2020, at 11:00

am at Thompson-Larson

Funeral Home, Minot.
