David Newgard

TOLLEY – David Martin

Newgard, 59, Tolley, died

Saturday, Sept. 12, 2020,

at Trinity Hospital.

He was born May 28,

1961, in Rugby, to Dennis

and Marlene (Jensen)

Newgard. David graduat-

ed from Mohall High

School in 1980.

David worked in the oil

field industry out of high

school, working for Bo-

mac Drilling, Nabors Dril-

ling, and Red Hawk Dril-

ling and also drove truck

in Nevada for Sierra

Chemical. He has also

worked for Gates

Manufacturing for a few

years.

David was an avid

Green Bay Packers fan; he

loved to tell people “the

Pack is Back” and loved

cheering against the Vik-

ings. He loved music,

especially the Grateful

Dead and really enjoyed

going to concerts in Cali-

fornia or Nevada with

family. He loved Rock

music and he had a very

large vinyl record collec-

tion. David was a huge

fan of the Paul Harvey ra-

dio show, enjoyed playing

the harmonica, and travel-

ing to see family in Neva-

da and California. David

loved animals and had

many special dogs in his

life, especially his Basset

hound, “Dennis.”

Family: David is sur-

vived by his son, Dustin

(Heidi) Newgard; and

grandson, Huntley, all of

Mohall; brothers, Mark

(Reita) Newgard, Fernley,

Nev., D.J. (Sherri) New-

gard, Jackson, Calif.; sis-

ter, Brenda (Francis) Hall,

Mohall; sister-in-law, Ani-

ta Newgard, Bismarck;

and numerous aunts, un-

cles, nephews, nieces and

cousins.

David was preceded in

death by: his parents,

Dennis and Marlene New-

gard; brothers, Tim and

Bruce Newgard; and

beloved Basset hound,

Dennis.

Celebration of Life: Fri-

day, Oct. 16, 2020, from 5

to 9 p.m., with a time of

memories and con-

dolences at 6 p.m., at the

Mohall Community

Center (Old Legion Club).

Graveside Service: Sa-

turday, Oct. 17, 2020, at

10 a.m., at the Mohall

Community Cemetery.
