Theresa Savelkoul
Sept. 21, 1936-Sept. 3, 2020
Theresa Engelhard
Savelkoul, age 83, passed
away peacefully in her
home in Lolo, Montana on
September 3, 2020. She
was born on September
21, 1936 in Foxholm,
North Dakota to Isidor
and Alice Engelhard. She
married Jack Savelkoul
November 4, 1954 in
Minot, North Dakota.
Theresa was a matriarch.
A kind and gentle soul,
and mother to many. She
raised six children, 11
grandchildren and seven
great grandchildren. She
was the sweet,
even-natured mother to a
family full of large per-
sonalities. Her four
daughters describe her
with words like “tough,
strong, Wonder Woman”;
while her grandchildren
would best describe her
with sentiments of
“giving, thoughtful,
understanding, gentle,
warm and always smiling”
– which together best
describes the evolution of
her feminine kindness,
strength and beauty.
Theresa had deep faith in
God, and was a regular
churchgoer. Her life was a
living example of Bible
verse, Ephesians 4:32 –
“and be kind and compas-sionate to one another,
forgiving one another, just
as God also forgave you in
Christ.” Theresa is sur-
vived by her husband
Jack, her four daughters
Cindy (Ed) Sidwell, Sherri
(Roger) Porch, Candace
(Art) Wittich, Shelley
(Bruce) Porch and one sis-
ter Rita Engelhard. She is
proceeded in death by her
two sons Steve Savelkoul
and John Savelkoul,
grandson Aaron Porch,
son-in-law Ed Sidwell,
brother Elmer Engelhard,
sisters Marian Engelhard
and Darlene Richter. She
will be smiling down on
all her family and friends
from heaven and will be
deeply missed by all.
Theresa’s family will
celebrate her life on Sun-
day, September 13, 2020,
20860 Jones Road,
Florence, MT 59833. In
lieu of flowers, the family
requests that each person
who knew and loved
Theresa do one small act
of kindness for someone
else in her honor.
