Marlene “Molly” Hutton

Marlene Ann “Molly”

Bishop Hutton was born

April 24, 1934 in Fargo,

North Dakota to Walter

and Gladys (Swalley)

Bishop. Molly passed

away on September 22,

2020 at the Trinity Medi-

cal Center in Minot, North

Dakota, after a 6-year bat-

tle with colon cancer. The

strength and courage that

she showed was nothing

short of remarkable.

Molly grew up in Fargo

and graduated from Fargo

High School. She com-

pleted her education at

Moorhead State Teacher’s

College where she gra-

duated, earning her

Bachelor’s degree in Ele-

mentary Education. Her

mother, Ma Bish, was the

ATO House Mother at

NDSU. It was through Ma

Bish that Molly met the

love of her life, Bill Hut-

ton of Towner, North

Dakota. It was said that

Bill was Molly’s favorite

ATO. The couple was

married in 1960 and

moved back to Towner, to

start their new life togeth-er. Bill and Molly have

lived in Towner for the

past 60 years.

Molly will always be

remembered for her love

for her family, kindness to

others, and baking cookies

and “Grandma’s buns” for

everyone. She enjoyed

making donuts with her

friends and writing cook-

books.

Molly is survived by

her loving husband, Bill;

their 3 children, Sherri

(Bob) Wenner, Scott

(Kara) Hutton, and Sheila

(Reid) Vosper. She is also

survived by her grandchil-dren, Bobby, Jonathan,

and Allie Wenner, Will

and Alana Hutton, and

Kellen and Ryan Vosper.

There will be a visita-

tion from 5:00 – 7:00 Fri-

day, September 25 at the

Anderson Funeral Home

in Towner. Due to Co-

vid-19 there will be a

private family service on

Saturday, September 26 at

the Zion Lutheran Church

in Towner. Friends are

welcome to join the inter-

ment ceremony at the Un-

ion Cemetery, Towner at

1:45 p.m. The funeral

will be livestreamed and
