Wednesday, September 9,
2020, at his residence.
Larry Leroy Wangsness
was born May 18, 1954,
the son of Donald and
Pearl (Haugen) Wangs-
ness, in Kenmare, ND. He
was raised and educated
in Kenmare, ND.
Over the years, Larry
worked at the Chevy
garage in Kenmare, the
Kenmare Laundry and
then at the LW Gas station
in Portal for a time. In
1999, he began his em-
ployment with the City of
Portal as a maintenance
worker, retiring in 2019.
He was a member of the
NRA. He enjoyed the out-
doors. He loved deer and
bird hunting and fishing
with his dogs.
Surviving family in-
cludes: sister, Pauline
Wangsness, Portal, ND;
brother, Dale (Cathy)
Wangsness, Powers Lake,
ND; brother-in-law, Ed-
ward Kremer, Portal, ND;
nieces and Nephews, Ta-
sha Altringer, Shannon
Kremer, James Miller,
Dawn Kunce, Kala Wangs-
ness; his Best friend,
Owen Medlang and his
daughters, Kirsten and
Kortni; and numerous
cousins.
Larry was preceded in
death by: his parents; sis-
ter, Darlene Kremer; and
numerous aunts and un-
cles.
A Celebration of Life
Service will be held Tues-
day, September 15, 2020,
at 11:00 am at the Portal
Memorial Park in Portal,
ND. Due to the Corona-
virus Pandemic, please
observe social distancing
and consider bringing
your own chair for the
service.
A Public Graveside
Service will be held on
Tuesday, September 15,
2020, at 2:00 pm at Beth-
lehem Lutheran
Cemetery, rural Coulee,
ND. Due to the Corona-
virus Pandemic, please
observe social distancing.
Visitation: Tuesday one
hour prior to the service
at the Portal Memorial
Park.
Memorials: In lieu of
flowers, memorial are pre-
ferred to Bethlehem Luth-
eran Cemetery, rural
Coulee, ND.
